St Stephen's stained glass windows

The restored Mary Magdalene, Jesus, and St Stephen windows (and the south-facing Dorcas window), blessed by our area bishop, the Rt. Rev. Jenny Andison, on Nov 25 2018.

St Stephen-in-the-Fields is a small Anglican parish in downtown Toronto with a major social justice and arts ministry. Our work takes place in one of the most significant historic buildings in the city, built in 1858, and containing, among other features, strikingly beautiful stained glass windows dating from the late 19th century, and made by the leading stained glass studios in Canada.

We are pleased to announce that Phase I of our conservation programme — the full restoration of the four large windows (see photo above) — is now complete.

As soon as we raise an additional $15,000, we will be able to proceed with the full completion of Phase II (the ground level windows, north and south). We continue to welcome donations, which can be cash or cheque (earmarked for “window restoration”), or on-line through Paypal, Canada Helps, or our GoFundMe. All on-line donation options can be found on our website.

Charitable tax receipts are available for all donations about $10, as long as you send us your name and address.
