Clement CarelseClement CarelseClement Carelse was born in Cape Town, South Africa. His organ studies commenced at age 11, after studying The piano at Trinity College, London. Early organ teachers included Dr. Claude Brown, Dr. Charles Peaker, Douglas Webb, John Sidgwick and Dr. Melville Cook. Clement has played recitals at the Cathedrals in Ripon, Exeter, Salisbury, Wells and Christ Church in Dublin, as well as the University of Toronto, McMaster University, and the noon-hour series of recitals in Toronto at St. Paul’s, St. James Cathedral and Yorkminster Park Baptist Church. He holds a degree in Music and Religious Studies from McMaster, as well as an ARCT in organ performance, and an Associateship and CHM from the RCCO.
